House 2008!
Another wet summer has sped by us; but a beautiful fall season is
making up for it. Suddenly, we are facing the Holiday season!
Where DOES the time go?!
With no time to waste, we are busily preparing for the biggest
event we have here at the Farm:
our *24th Annual Holiday Open House.*
This is a 3-day event, November 14, 15 & 16, with slightly
extended hours of
10am – 5pm each day, including Sunday.
We have 4 large rooms to get ready, and I could never accomplish
this without the wonderful assistance of my helpers, Bunny &
Sharon, good friends & family who pitch in when I start getting
frazzled! As always, I am so pleased to have so many wonderful
crafters’ work to compliment the hand-crafted products from our
Farm; I think you will be, too!
This will be the 4th year our greenhouse will be the site for live
demonstrations Friday, Saturday & Sunday of the Open House. This
is a wonderful opportunity to meet and learn from some very
talented artisans and has proved to be very popular. All of the
artisans will have examples of their craft for sale, as well, so
please stop by the greenhouse on your way in and stay awhile!!
*BIG NEWS!!* This year I had the honor of passing
audition to become a member of Royal River Chorus; Maine's premier
a capella harmony chorus for women and a chapter of /Sweet
Adelines International/. It is such a pleasure to be in the
company of women doing something we all love- making beautiful
music- barbershop style! I am thrilled to have one of our quartets
here to perform on the afternoon of SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16.
This is an opportunity to hear some wonderful, funny and highly
entertaining music- for FREE!! So, take a break from your
busy schedule, stop by the Greenhouse and enjoy the pure harmonies
of 'Flashpoint!' I guarantee it will make your day!
